Free cloud compliance tools
Each tool shows its full answer on the page. Nothing asks for an email address to reveal a result, and the field underneath buys only the written version.
A first cloud compliance project turns on a handful of questions: how far the account is from an audit, whether the data has to stay in Canada, who should hold the keys, how much evidence collects itself, and what it all costs. There is a free tool for each.
| Tool | The question it answers | Steps |
|---|---|---|
| Readiness score | How far is our cloud from passing a SOC 2 or ISO 27001 audit, area by area | 6 |
| Data residency checker | Does this data have to stay in Canada or in Quebec | 5 |
| Key management decider | Provider keys, customer-managed keys, an HSM, or external keys | 5 |
| Evidence automation coverage | How much of our evidence collects itself, and do we need a platform | 5 |
| Cost estimator | What the first year costs in CAD, line by line | 6 |
Which one first?
- If a customer asked where data lives, start with the residency checker.
- If a customer asked for SOC 2 or ISO 27001, run the readiness score, then the cost estimator.
- If you are deciding on tooling, the coverage estimator says whether a paid platform changes the picture.
- If a contract mentions encryption keys, the key management decider.
The same questions are covered in longer form on the checklist and the roadmap.
Why nothing is gated
Every result appears in full on the page. The email field under each tool sends a written copy you can forward to a founder, a board or a customer. It is optional, and nothing on the page depends on it. If you want quotes, each result links to the quote form with your answers already filled in, so firms see your scope without another round of questions.
How accurate are the numbers?
The cost estimator uses the same CAD ranges as the cost guide. The readiness score uses the items on the checklist. The coverage estimator models a typical first SOC 2 control set. All three are ranges and estimates, not quotes: scope a calculator cannot see moves the real number.
Do the tools store my answers?
No. Answers stay in your browser. Only if you ask for the written version is the result sent, with your email address, to produce the write-up.
Turn a result into quotes
Each tool hands its answers to the quote form, so you do not repeat them.
